Cheshire's first dedicated family well-being festival heads to Burwardsley

Cheshire’s first ever dedicated family well-being spectacular, offering an all-day festival of workshops, demonstrations and activities will take place next month.

The Family Tree Wellbeing Festival will showcase some of the region’s top wellbeing experts and will take place at the Successfactory in Burwardsley on August 3, between 10am and 4pm.

Organised by businesswomen Jo Howarth and Lillie Pragnall, the one-stop extravaganza will deliver seven hours of back-to-back talks, exhibitions and workshops covering everything from children’s yoga to health and nutrition and mindfulness.

“The Family Tree Wellbeing Festival is a brand new event for 2019,” explained Jo, who is also founder of The Happiness Club, bestselling author and inspirational speaker.

“We are collaborating with a host of local businesses and experts and bringing them all together under one roof to showcase the very best of what Cheshire has to offer from a health and wellbeing perspective.

“It’s suitable for the whole family with workshops and demonstrations for mums, dads, grandparents and children so we’re hoping to get a really good turn-out throughout the day.”

The festival will feature a range of speakers on topics including consciousness, diet, mindset, the importance of communication and achieving family-life balance.

There will be workshops on meditation, spiritual perfumery, yoga and dedicated children’s tipis and yurts with a range of activities including relaxation, dance  and yoga sessions.

There will also be an outside area for woodland bushcraft and survival demonstrations.

Lillie, nutritionist and author, said: “The whole day is about encouraging families to think about simple steps they can take to improve their health and well-being.

“We are fortunate to have so many experts and enthusiasts in one place at the same time to offer valuable and life-changing advice to visitors.

“It’s an ideal chance for anyone looking to improve their day-to-day lifestyle to come along and ask for guidance, take part in some great activities and workshops and enjoy some great food and drink.”

The event is being sponsored by Making Space and Rock & Rain.

Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children and can be booked online at https://bookwhen.com/familytreefestival?location=kok0evh22yz4#focus=ev-seq4-20190803103000.
